About Timothy

After starting his career in commercial real estate marketing, Timothy State spent nearly 20 years in alumni relations for Lake Forest College and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In his professional roles, he’s built high-performing teams by building consensus around common goals. Today, he supports the business operations of his partner’s interior design/landscape architecture firm while also returning to real estate as a licensed real estate sales agent, aligned with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties.

An active community member, he has volunteered for over 25 years on numerous HOA boards and is a former certified fire and police commissioner. Timothy lives with his partner in a fully restored Krisel in the Canyon View Estates neighborhood in south Palm Springs.

Serving the greater Coachella Valley, Timothy has a bachelors degree in sociology & anthropology with an emphasis in urban studies.
